Is Mauritius a visa-free country for Nigerians?

Yes! Nigerian passport holders are eligible to get a visa on arrival for Mauritius and what’s more? It’s free.

Upon arrival, your international passport will be stamped for a 2 weeks stay. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t prepare some requirements as it is at the sole discretion of the immigration to allow you entry into Mauritius.

Here are some things to note before booking your flight to Mauritius Island.

-Make sure your International passport has over 6 months’ validity

-Have your covid vaccination card handy (Mauritius only allow fully vaccinated travellers on their Island)

-Yellow fever card

-Work ID or introduction letter from employer.

-Return flight ticket (Do not book a one-way ticket as that presents a red flag that you do not intend to leave)

-Hotel and Tour bookings

-Proof of fund to show that you can cater for yourself during the course of the trip.

-Travel Insurance that covers your period of stay

-Make sure to fill out their health locator form as well
